Program Overview
Day 1 (September 15, 2026): Fundamentals & Specifications
Battery Essentials: Battery technology basics, cell chemistry, structure, and components (anode, cathode, housing types).
Li-Ion Data Sheet Design: Interpreting and creating data sheets for lithium-ion cells (voltage, C-rates, lifespan, impedance).
Primary Batteries: Overview of non-rechargeable primary batteries.
Day 2 (September 16, 2026): Rechargeable Systems & Pack Design
Rechargeable Chemistries: Comparison of rechargeable battery technologies (Li-Ion, NiMH, Lead-Acid, etc.).
Battery Pack Design & BMS: Battery pack development, housing design, protection circuitry (PCM), and battery management systems (BMS).
Day 3 (September 17, 2026): Safety Training (Battery Safety)
Safety Risks & Handling: Sources of danger, thermal runaway, and best practices for handling batteries (testing, assembly, storage, transport, and disposal).
Emergency Management: Recommendations and equipment checklists for laboratories and storage facilities.
