International Congress for Battery Recycling 2026
ICBR 2026 brings the battery recycling industry to Berlin at a time when technical progress, regulatory requirements and economic reality are becoming increasingly interlinked.
Across the battery value chain, the focus is shifting towards reliable recycling capacity, safe reverse logistics, raw material recovery, material quality and the competitiveness of industrial recycling in Europe and worldwide. This year’s program reflects these developments. It brings together industry leaders, recyclers, battery manufacturers, OEMs, researchers, policymakers and technology providers to discuss the topics currently shaping our sector, from end of-life batteries and changing chemistries to black mass, regulation, safety and international material flows. For months, the Steering Committee and Lecture Group have been working on the program for the September congress, addressing topics that are particularly relevant to our industry today. Berlin provides the right setting for this exchange. As one of Europe’s most important political and industrial centres, it stands for the connection between policy, technology and industrial implementation.
