Brasilien Air Transport: new variation BRG-05 from 2023 onwards: Package certificate must accompany the shipment
Important for anyone preparing dangerous goods shipments in UN packaging to Brazil.
When an UN specified packaging is required, then if Brazil is the country of destination or departure, the following
documents must accompany the shipment:
- for UN specified packaging manufactured in Brazil, the ANAC approval certificate of the packaging and a declaration
of conformity from the manufacturer; or
- for UN specification packaging manufactured abroad, the approval certificate of the packaging or similar document
issued by an aviation authority or other competent national authority.
The operator must ensure during the acceptance process that the above documents, as applicable, are available.
"Accompany the shipment" means either printed and attached to the paper air waybill or, in the case of electronic data
transmission, the appropriate electronic transmission.
