eMobility with the new Volkswagen models. 

From 2020 VW will offer a sedan, a CUV and a van with electric drive. 

Techniques such as voice and gesture control and fully automated driving are possible with the ID models.

The ID vehicles travel with a battery charge up to 600 km.

The lithium ion batteries installed in the vehicles meet all the requirements of of the legislators.

The requirements to be met are:

 1. Production according to the quality management program

 2. Existing UN test series 38.3

 3. Short-circuit protection

 4. safety venting device  against overpressure and violent rupture

 5. Devices which prevent dangerous reverse current

Incidentally not only the large lithium ion vehicle battery must meet the requirements of the dangerous goods transport regulations but also every other lithium button cell, lithium cell or lithium battery installed in the vehicle.
